A WONDERFUL DAY FOR EVERYONE - FREE EVENTS
With the summer stretching ahead and loads of exciting events coming up across the South Hams, we could be forgiven for forgetting that that the Grand Finale to the summer will be the third FREE 2026 TOTNES HERITAGE FESTIVAL.
This year the town has joined with the National Heritage Open Days Scheme and many of Totnes Festival’s events will reflect the national theme of ‘Everyday Histories’.
Events are taking place across all our favourite historic venues plus, for the first time this year, you’ll be able to watch the Dartington Morris performing at the newly refurbished square off Fore Street.
Events run from 10.00 am with a FREE film showing at Totnes Cinema at 4.00 pm to end the daytime events followed by an evening concert at The Guildhall.
Many of the festival organisers are planning fun workshops and demonstrations and at the Museum there’ll be special festival exhibitions to mark ‘Everyday Histories’ as well as a fascinating exhibition on famous local authors to celebrate the 2026 National Year of Reading.
There’ll be two heritage walking tours on offer and don’t forget Totnes Castle, always a favourite with exciting activities planned and FREE ENTRY to all TQ9 residents.
